SUNY Oneonta Athletics Mourns Passing of Hall of Fame Baseball Player Steve McMullen
The SUNY Oneonta athletic department was saddened to hear of the passing of Hall of Fame baseball player Steven D. McMullen on April 19, 2026. Steve was part of the inaugural class that was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1999. McMullen was a four-year standout for the Red Dragon nine. He was the ace of the staff and compiled a 14-7 record during his four seasons with the baseball team. McMullen was an All-SUNYAC selection at the end of the 1967 and 1969 seasons and pitched Oneonta to the conference title in ’68 and ’69 with two four-hitters.…
