AKRON, Ohio - Eight University of Akron football players have been named to Phil Steele's 2026 preseason All-MAC Team, the magazine announced Wednesday, June 10. Earning preseason first-team All-MAC honors were senior RB Jordan Gant (Lakeland, Fla.) and sophomore WR Marcel Williams (Hollywood, Fla.). Named to the preseason second-team All-MAC was junior Cyrus Durham (Atherton, Calif.) and senior Joseph Castle (North Huntingdon, PA.).
