Babson Announces Leadership Change for Women鈥檚 Lacrosse
BABSON PARK, Mass.鈥� Babson College has announced that Michelle Smith will not return as the head women’s lacrosse coach. Over 15 seasons at Babson, Smith compiled a 161-90 record while claiming seven New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season titles, five conference tournament championships and six NCAA Tournament bids. The 2024 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Berkshire Region Coach of the Year, Smith was also recognized as the conference coach of the year on three occasions and leaves Babson as the program’s all-time winningest coach.
