Alex Bernstein Closes Career as NCAA All-American
EUGENE, Ore. – Alex Bernstein became DePaul's first hammer throw All-American in 16 years Wednesday afternoon, placing ninth in the nation with a mark of 70.71m at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships after advancing to the nine-person final at Hayward Field. Bernstein wasted little time earning his place in the championship final, opening the competition with a throw of 68.70m before launching a 69.79m mark on his second attempt to move into the top nine.
