Laurier men’s hockey add physical defenceman Colin Maund to blue line

WATERLOO, Ont. – Defenceman Colin Maund has committed to the Laurier Golden Hawks men’s hockey program, adding a physical, shutdown presence to the program’s blue line ahead of the upcoming season. The 20 year-old Mississauga, Ont., product joins Laurier after a four-year career in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL), most recently with the Newmarket Hurricanes. The 6-foot-5, 205 pound left-shot defenceman led the Hurricanes with 90 penalty minutes in just 29 regular-season games last season, continuing a physically assertive style that defined his junior career.
