LEXINGTON, Va. — Washington and Lee University Athletics and Michael F. Walsh Director of Athletics Jan Hathorn announced that the department recognized 435 of its 599 student-athletes as W&L Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 Winter Term, including 102 who achieved a perfect 4.0 grade-point average. The W&L Scholar-Athlete distinction is awarded each academic term to student-athletes who earn a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher while participating in one of the university’s varsity athletic programs. The 435 honorees represent 72.6 percent of Washington and Lee’s student-athlete population and underscore the department’s continued commitment to academic excellence.
