Payne Steps Down from Duty as Head Coach
CASTLETON, Vt. 鈥� Head Coach Kathleen Payne of the Vermont State University Castleton women’s basketball team announced her resignation from the program, effective June 5, to pursue an opportunity that will allow her to be closer to family. Payne departs Castleton after three seasons at the helm of the Spartans’ program. During her tenure, she compiled a 24-51 overall record while leading the team through a period of growth and development within the highly competitive Little East Conference.
