DENVER – The University of Denver women's basketball program has signed freshman point guard Safiyah Sugapong to its 2026-27 roster, head coach Erik Johnson announced on Thursday. In her high school career, the 1,000 point scorer was named All-CIF First Team in both her junior and senior seasons. Sugapong was also a McDonald's All-American Nominee and the Coastal League Player of the Year in 2025-26.
