Melnikov Named First Team Academic All-American for the Second Time
GREENWOOD, Ind. 鈥� Swarthmore College’s Michael Melnikov was selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Men’s Tennis First Team for the second straight year on Wednesday afternoon. Melnikov becomes only the second student-athlete in department history to garner multiple Academic All-America First Team selections in a career, joining Michael Superdock (men’s soccer) who earned the honors in 2013 and 2014. Melnikov is also just the sixth individual in Swarthmore history to receive multiple Academic All-America awards of any kind.
