Forney sophomore pitcher Avery Pitts settled in after a rough start, and the Jackrabbits made things interesting with a heads-up baserunning play that brought Emily Hawkins home to cut the deficit to 2-1. Defensive gems from Bailey McGhee and Kambree Wilson kept Forney in the fight, but Katy's offense proved too much, closing out a 7-2 victory.
