Bertagnole Named GCAA Freshman All-America
The Golf Coaches Association of America named Tar Heel freshman Carson Bertagnole one of five Freshman All-Americas. The Pinehurst, N.C., native tied for 19 th in the 2026 NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, Calif., Bertagnole shot rounds of 69-72-72-71 and sank an 8-footer for birdie on the 72 nd hole to secure Carolina a berth in a four-way playoff for the final spots in match play.
