Tyynismaa Named USTFCCCA Midwest Region Track Athlete of the Year
NEW ORLEANS, La. — The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has named Wartburg College senior JoJo Tyynismaa the 2026 Women’s Track Athlete of the Year in the Midwest Region. Tyynismaa (Tama, Iowa/South Tama) capped off a standout outdoor campaign by earning three First-Team All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She finished as the national runner-up in the 400-meter hurdles, placed seventh in the 100-meter hurdles, and helped the Knights secure a fifth-place finish in the 4×400-meter relay 鈥� also earned Second Team accolades in the 100-meter dash (15th).…
