The season came to an end Thursday for the Greenville High School baseball Comets in the semifinals of the Father McGivney Class 2A Regional. Breese Central edged the Comets 2-1. The Comets took the lead in the first when Rowdy Sussenbach walked, stole second base and scored on a wild pitch. It remained 1-0 until the fourth inning when Central banged out three hits and scored twice. Greenville had the tying run at second base with one out in the seventh, but couldn鈥檛 record a run.
