By: Brendon Reese LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Mount Union head softball coach Meghan Simons and assistants Jillia Cook and Erika Warren have been named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Regional Coaching Staff of the Year for Region VII. Simons and her staff have led the Purple Raiders to a 35-7 overall record so far this season, where they have won their first Regional and Super Regional Championship and advanced to their first College World Series in program history.
