Payano, Ventura Receive More All-Region Recognition
THROGGS NECK, NY 鈥� Freshman second baseman Dylan Payano (Flushing, NY) and senior shortstop Randy Ventura (Syosset, NY) of the Maritime College baseball team have both been named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Team by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Payano earned a spot on the All-Region First Team, while Ventura was a Second Team All-Region selection. The Skyline Conference Rookie of the Year, Payano posted a .415 batting average, the second-highest for a single-season in program history. His 48 runs scored were tied for the league lead, and his 46 RBIs were tied for the fourth-most in the conference....
