Edwards Named to D3baseball.com All-America Second Team
By: Ryan Klinkner, SJU Director of Athletic Communications D3baseball.com Release COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John’s freshman pitcher Max Edwards (Rockford, Minn.) was named to the D3baseball.com All-American second team on Thursday, May 28. Edwards is SJU’s baseball’s second-consecutive All-American and eighth overall. He is the third Johnnie pitcher to be named an All-American, but the first as a primary starter. Joey Long ’13 (2012 D3baseball.com second team) and Justin Thompson ’14 (2014 ABCA third team and D3baseball.com honorable mention) recorded 10 saves each during their banner seasons on the mound.
