Four Chestnut Hill College Softball players have been recognized as members of the 2026 CSC Academic All-District Team. Juniors Izabella Rodriguez, Rebecca Cessna, and Jenn Pokropinski, along with sophomore Belle Tetreault, earned this honor for their exemplary performance both on the field and in academics. Rodriguez notably becomes the first Griffin player to receive Academic All-District accolades twice. Selection criteria require student-athletes to be sophomores or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.50 and active participation in 90% of team contests.

• Rodriguez has played in 28 games and recorded 13 hits.
• Pokropinski led the team with 30 games played, scoring 18 runs and RBIs.
• Cessna recorded 27 strikeouts across 16 games, starting 11.
• Tetreault led in strikeouts with 35 in 13 games pitched.

While the accomplishments of these student-athletes are commendable, the long-term sustainability of maintaining such high academic and athletic performance amidst increasing competitive pressures remains a concern.

• All four players have consistently been named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll multiple times.
• Rodriguez, Pokropinski, and Cessna have been inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, showcasing their commitment to academic excellence.

The selected players will be considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America national ballot, which will determine first, second, and third-team honorees later this year.

The recognition of these athletes is a testament to their hard work, balancing rigorous academic commitments with competitive sports, highlighting the importance of supporting student-athletes in navigating these dual roles.
