Chargers Finish 7A Runners- Up
Published 7:35 am Tuesday, May 26, 2026 Oxford Chargers baseball finished a successful season last week, playing to the 7A State Championship series and finishing runners-up to Petal (9-2 and 7-4). The team posted a 24-15 overall record, won its region (8-2 record), and played for the title in the state鈥檚 highest class of athletics. The Chargers were ranked as high as third in the state during the season and stayed in the top 10 almost every week. Oxford last won a baseball state championship in 2016.
