NEW ORLEANS, Lou. 鈥� Carroll University freshman Brian Smith added another milestone to his standout debut season, earning USTFCCCA Second-Team All-America honors following his performance at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Smith secured All-America status in the 400-meter dash after finishing 11th overall in the national field. According to USTFCCCA criteria, Second-Team All-America recognition is awarded to athletes who place 9th through 16th in individual events at the NCAA Championships, with preliminary round results determining placement when fewer than 12 advance to finals.
