Friends Christian School 鈥淪.C.O.R.E.鈥� Street Hockey Cup
YORBA LINDA, Calif. — In a thrilling display of teamwork and skill, Friends Christian School (FCS) emerged victorious at the 17th annual S.C.O.R.E. (Scholastic Curriculum Of Recreation & Education) Street Hockey Shootout on April 25th, defeating a field of 22 local schools to claim the S.C.O.R.E. Cup.
While the event focused on sportsmanship and fundamentals, FCS brought an offensive firestorm to the round-robin and championship brackets. The team鈥檚 cohesive play paved the way for a historic individual performance by 4th-grader Connor Kirby, who was named the tournament MVP with 16 goals in 7 games!
A Summer of Celebration
The victory secures more than just bragging rights for the team. In a tradition mirroring the NHL鈥檚 Stanley Cup:
Engraved Legacy: The names of every player and coach from Friends Christian School will be etched onto the S.C.O.R.E. Cup.
A Day with the Cup: Each player will get to spend a personal day with the trophy over their summer break.
Ducks Homecoming: The team will be honored at a 2026-27 Anaheim Ducks home game to celebrate their achievement.
