TEMPE, Ariz. – Averett University women’s tennis rose four spots in the Apr. 29 edition of the Division III Intercollegiate Association (ITA) rankings. Averett (14-3) swept Shenandoah University in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament quarterfinals yesterday, and find themselves in yet another ODAC semifinal. Two of the conference’s best women’s squads are represented in the list, led by 13th-ranked Washington and Lee University, then Averett. The Cougars battle Virginia Wesleyan University in the aforementioned conference semifinal on Saturday, May 2.
