Men鈥檚 tennis defeats Carroll in quarterfinal matchup
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — The Augustana Vikings men’s tennis team defeated the Carroll Pioneers on Thursday in the quarterfinal matchup by a score of 4-1. The Pioneers took an early 1鈥�0 lead by winning two of the three doubles matches. Santiago Diaz and Saman Rezaeyan secured a 6鈥�1 victory at No. 2 doubles. In singles play, Augie won all four matchups to take control and seal the victory. At No. 3, Jorge Marcelo earned a 6鈥�1, 6鈥�3 win, while Santiago Lazo picked up a pair of 6鈥�2 set victories.
