Pioneer softball team collects sweep in home finale
GRINNELL, Iowa – Grinnell College’s softball team made the most of its final games on the home field for the 2026 season, and helped coach Lexy Determan reach a milestone in the process. The Pioneers snapped an eight-game losing streak Wednesday at the Softball Complex, shutting down Knox College 10-0 in five innings and 7-4. With the first-game victory, Determan earned her 100th win as Grinnell’s coach. She achieved the milestone faster than any softball coach in Midwest Conference history.
