Lucas Claims MEAC Women鈥檚 Field Athlete of the Week
NORFOLK, Va. 鈥� For the first time this outdoor season, Tia Lucas of North Carolina Central's women's track and field team has been named the MEAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week, announced by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference on Wednesday morning. Lucas delivered an outstanding performance at Penn Relays (April 23-25) at Franklin Field in Philadelphia. The senior captured the college women's high jump championship, clearing 1.75m on her final attempt to tie her season best.
