INDIANAPOLIS — The UIndy softball team earned the No. 1 spot in the latest NCAA Division II Midwest Regional rankings, released Wednesday. GLVC-rival McKendree came in at No. 2, followed by defending Midwest-champ Saginaw Valley at third. When the full NCAA field is announced May 11, the region's top eight teams will be paired off into two double-elimination tournaments, held on campus sites May 14-16.
