Five Cougar Track & Field Athletes Named NEC Prime Performers Heading into Championship Season
CHICAGO, Ill. – The Chicago State track and field teams had five student athletes named as NEC Prime Performers on the final week of the outdoor regular season. Makiyah Brewton and Bryanna Boroze represented the women’s track and field team while Nasir Ali , Earnest Davenport , and Faustin Kaseba represented the men’s team. Makiyah Brewton (Douglas, Georgia) delivered an impressive performance at the Drake Relays, securing a podium finish in the University/College Division long jump with a leap of 5.87 meters, marking her fourth jump of 5.60 meters or better.
