Redblacks select OL Giordano Vaccaro No. 1 overall in CFL Canadian Draft
The Ottawa Redblacks have bolstered their offensive line with the No. 1 pick. Ottawa selected Canadian offensive lineman Giordano Vaccaro with the first-overall pick in the 2026 CFL Canadian Draft on Tuesday. Vaccaro is a six-foot-two, 307-pound lineman who played last season with Purdue in the NCAA. Before joining Purdue, he spent three seasons with the University of Manitoba Bisons in U Sports. The Winnipeg native was ranked No. 11 last week on the CFL Scouting Bureau's final list of the top-20 prospects for Tuesday's draft.
