Men’s Track & Field Places Fifth Overall at MEC Outdoor Championships
MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The Frostburg State Men’s Track & Field team placed fifth overall at the MEC Outdoor Championships held from Sunday through Tuesday. FSU began day one in the Hammer Throw, where redshirt juniors Aubrey Russ (49.27m) and Ire Maboudou (48.95m) placed sixth and seventh, respectively. Additionally in the event, sophomore Willie Washington secured a personal record 43.54m. Keeping momentum with the throws, freshman Micah Carlson (51.82m) and graduate Owen Butler (51.58m) also went back-to-back in the Javelin scoring places, with the former setting a new collegiate best.
