GRANVILLE ― Granville karate students were among those competing recently at the American Kang Duk Won Karate Tournament in Watertown, N.Y. American Kang Duk Won conducted its 49th International Championships, and they competed in divisions for empty hand kata, weapons kata and sparring. Maddie Bloomfield, 15, won first place in women's sparring, while Grace Hopping, 18, placed second in Adult Brown Belt Forms, Adult Brown Belt Weapons and women's sparring.
