HOUSTON – Reese Cole was named to the College Sports Communicators Third Team Academic All-America team, the organization announced Tuesday. Cole is the first Rice women's swimming and diving athlete to earn Academic All-America honors since the 1980s, capping a standout season in and out of the pool. A native of League City, Texas, Cole won American Conference titles in the 200- and 400-yard individual medley and competed in the 400 IM at the NCAA Championships.
