Chandler Named GSC Freshman of the Week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. 鈥� Montevallo infielder Joel Chandler has been named Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week after helping lead the Falcons to a perfect 4-0 record, the league announced Tuesday. Chandler hit .667 (8-for-12) on the week, recording a triple, two RBI, and two runs scored. He opened with a 2-for-3 performance in Tuesday's 8-5 win over Columbus State, then added another two-hit outing in Friday's series opener against AUM.
