Champs! Women’s Tennis Takes Down Assumption in NE10 Final
Flushing, N.Y. – Head coach Rebecca Fakas and the Adelphi women's tennis team hosted No. 2 seed Assumption in the Northeast 10 Championship final on Tuesday afternoon. The Greyhounds won the first doubles match to gain an early edge, but a 6-4 win from Katarina Liedbeck and Roisin Boyd put the pressure on the No. 2 flight. Although they were trailing early, Assumption's Laurence Bosmans and Marie Knipsel earned a 7-5 win to give the Greyhounds the key first point.
