Baseball Earns Split With WPI
Springfield, Mass. – April 27, 2026 – The Springfield College baseball team split a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) doubleheader with WPI on Saturday afternoon. The Pride move to 21-13 overall and 7-6 in the conference while the Engineers move to 15-18, 3-10. Michael Lepere (Beacon, N.Y.) hit .500 going 4-for-8 with two RBI, a double and a run scored as Tyler Casey (Wallingford, Conn.) went 3-for-7 with a run scored and an RBI and Chris Balchius (Norwalk, Conn.) drove in three runs and scored three times.
