Hammonds Repeats as MEC Heptathlon Champion, Concord Sixth at MEC Championships
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Concord University women's track & field team is in sixth after the second day of competition at the Mountain East Conference Outdoor Championships wrapped up Monday evening at Mylan Park. Concord has 24.5 points in the meet. Sophomore Cassidy Hammonds successfully defended her MEC crown in the heptathlon Monday afternoon. Heading into day two of the seven-event sequence, Hammonds trailed Charleston's Laura Delgado de Torres by 37 points.
