G-MAC Tabs Finn Schmitt as South Division Pitcher of the Week
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Finn Schmitt of the Malone University baseball team has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) South Division Pitcher of the Week. The sophomore from Wadsworth, Ohio got the pitching win for the Pioneers in a 14-6 victory over Thomas More University in the series finale. Schmitt went 5.0 innings and did not allow an earned run. He struck out a season-high eight batters in the win. Malone is back in action on Friday, May 1 against the Ohio Dominican University Panthers. Game one begins at 10:00 A.M.
