The Briar Cliff softball team dropped game two of Saturday's halted game against the RV Dordt Defenders, falling 8–5. Dordt came out quickly in the opening inning, taking an early lead after Edwards drew a bases-loaded walk and Grissom followed with a three-run double to put the Defenders ahead 4–0. The Defenders added another run in the second inning on a double play before extending the lead again in the third on an RBI single from Schneider, building a 6–2 advantage. Briar Cliff continued to battle offensively, with two back-to-back doubles in the seventh inning, but couldn't close the gap....
