Softball Lose Doubleheader to Central Dutch to End Season
PELLA, Iowa – The University of Dubuque softball team finished their season on the road at the Central College Dutch. The Spartans lost game one 5-3 and lost game two 12-4 in five innings. The Spartans began the season on a 5-0 start and ended the year with a 17-21 overall record and a 3-13 American Rivers Conference finish in eighth place. Senior Kaitlyn Powell led the Spartans offense with a .385 batting percentage, a team high 47 hits (7th all-time), 70 total bases (tied for 7th all-time), and an on base percentage of .483 (tied for 5th all-time).
