Slow pitch team drops two games at state tournament
Published 10:15 am Sunday, April 26, 2026 MOULTRIE – The Colquitt County slow pitch softball team dropped its first two games in the state tournament in Woodstock on Wednesday and finishes its season with an 8-9 record. The Lady Packers had won two of their three games at the Sectional in Dublin to qualify for the eight-team state tournament. But Colquitt dropped its state tournament opener 19-4 to eventual state champion Creekview. In the losers bracket, the Lady Packers were eliminated by West Laurens 12-0. Creekview defeated Cherokee 8-7 to win the state championship. Colquitt was playing its second season...
