Rowing races MIT heavyweights on Androscoggin River
GREENE, Maine — The Bates rowing teams took on the NCAA and IRA Division I MIT heavyweights Saturday on the Androscoggin River, with the women’s second varsity eight emerging victorious for the Bobcats. Led by sophomore coxswain Shoshana Levy (Arlington, Va.) and junior stroke seat Charlotte Comrack (Washington, D.C.), the Bates women’s 2V raced to the finish of the 1900-meter course in 7:10.4, winning by five seconds over the Engineers, who crossed the finish line in 7:15.7.
