Concord Tied for Fifth After Day One of MEC Championships

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Concord University women's track & field team has eight points after three scoring events at the Mountain East Conference Championships. CU is tied for fifth as it received all eight points from sophomore Cassidy Hammonds in the javelin throw. She had a career-best throw of 38.25 meters which was good enough for second place. Junior Meagan Poticher finished 11 th in the javelin with a mark of 30.01 meters. Sophomores Gracie McAlister (27.62 meters) and Jenna Webb (25.15 meters) were 13 th and 15 th , respectively.
