PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg State University baseball team broke open a 5-1 game with an eight-run fifth inning to pull away for a 13-1 run-rule win over Rogers State University Saturday (Apr. 25) at Al Ortolani Field. The No. 9/7 Gorillas pulled within one game of the MIAA-leading Hillcats in the loss column with the win. Pitt State (36-8, 23-8) and No. 6/5 Rogers State (37-9, 25-7 MIAA) will wrap up the three-game series with a Noon game Sunday (Apr. 26).
