Dawgs Take Finale to Avoid Sweep at Northwestern
ALVA, Okla. 鈥� SWOSU Softball salvaged the series finale against Northwestern with a 7-5 win on Saturday. The Bulldogs outhit the Rangers 11-7, led by four players with two hits apiece, including 2-for-4 performances from Kennedi Caine and Emily Wedel . Caine added a double, while Wedel’s RBI triple in the fourth gave SWOSU a 3-2 lead at the time. After Northwestern answered to tie the game at 3-3 in the bottom of the fourth, SWOSU responded with three runs in the fifth to take control for good.
