Pioneers Rally in Opener to Earn Doubleheader Split at CSUSB
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Cal State East Bay split Friday's doubleheader at Cal State San Bernardino, rallying for an 8-6 win in the opener before falling 9-2 in game two at Fiscalini Field. The opener turned in the middle innings. After trailing 6-3 through five, East Bay flipped the game in the sixth with a four-run surge. Micah Cervantes delivered the biggest swing of the inning, driving in two with a single to center, and later scored as the Pioneers erased the deficit and moved in front.
