Gunton, Schulz Posts Top Marks in 5k at Penn Relays
PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Iona University women's outdoor track and field team competed at the Penn Relays, held Thursday at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA, highlighted by a pair of strong performances in the 5,000-meter run. Junior Tayla Gunton delivered a historic performance, placing ninth in 15:49.95. Her time marked a personal best by 46 seconds from last year's Penn Relays and stands as the second-fastest mark in program history, trailing only Kate Avery's record set at Stanford in 2015.
