Cate Trewet, Leighton Hukee voted the Register鈥檚 Athletes of the Week
Ankeny Centennial girls golfer Cate Trewet and Valley boys soccer player Leighton Hukee were voted the Des Moines Register's female and male Athlete of the Week winners from the Des Moines metro area for April 12-18. Trewet won female Athlete of the Week with 53% of the vote. Trewet took third behind a pair of Marshalltown golfers with a strong 18-hole round for the Ankeny Centennial girls golf team at the Toni Dickey Hawkette Golf Invitational on April 16 at Otter Creek Golf Course in Ankeny.
