Baseball鈥檚 Anthony Devito Homers in Series-Opening Loss to Calvin
Shortstop Anthony Devito slugged his fourth home run of the season, but the Hope College baseball team dropped the series opener to Calvin University, 5-2, on Friday at Boeve Stadium. The freshman from Lithia, Florida (Newsome) crushed a pitch over the right-field fence as the Flying Dutchmen’s second batter of the game for a 1-0 lead. Calvin starting pitcher Evan Steinbacher held Hope scoreless over his next 7.1 innings on the mound.
