Another School Record Falls On Day 2 Of Conference Carolinas Championships
By: Alex Pearce, Assistant Athletic Communications Director MYRTLE BEACH 鈥� UNC Pembroke saw another school record fall Friday on Day 2 action of the Conference Carolinas Outdoor Championships at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium. Janaya Davis-Gainer broke the women’s 100 meter dash record with a time of 11.86 in the prelims to punch her ticket to Saturday’s final. On the women’s side, Sofia Skidmore qualified for her second finals event, running a 2:21.64 to win her heat and finish second in the 800 meter prelims. Comfort Agwu brought home a third-place finish in the discus with a mark of 38.56 meters.…
