Trevecca Men鈥檚 Golf | Trojan Burton First to Earn Back-to-Back GSC Men鈥檚 Golf Scholar-Athlete Honors
BIRMINGHAM 鈥� The Gulf South Conference announced Trevecca Nazarene University's Maddox Burton as the 2026 GSC Champion Scholar-Athlete for men's golf following the conclusion of the 2026 Gulf South Conference Championships. Burton becomes the first men's golfer in Gulf South history to earn the award in back-to-back seasons and is the second Trojan across all sports to receive the honor during the 2025-26 academic year. A native of Irving, Texas, Burton previously earned the distinction in 2025. The junior continues to build his resume on the course and in the classroom.
