Park University earns top seed at NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Tournament
PARKVILLE, Mo. — The No. 1 ranked Park University men’s volleyball team has been announced as the top seed for the 2026 NAIA Men’s Volleyball National Championship, which will be held Tuesday, April 28, through Saturday, May 2, at Alliant Energy PowerHouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
The Pirates, with an unblemished record of 31-0, will be seeking the sixth men’s volleyball national title in school history (2003, 2008, 2012, 2014 and 2017). Twenty of Park’s victories this season have been three-set sweeps, and only three times have the Pirates been forced to a fifth set.
Park will open pool play on Tuesday, April 28, against the No. 9 seed Westcliff University (Calif., 20-4). The Pirates defeated the Warriors, 3-1, during an early season matchup on Jan. 24 during the Pirate Invitational. After a rest day on Wednesday, April 29, Park will close out pool play with a match against No. 8 seed Ottawa University (Ariz., 20-5), at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 30.
Should the Pirates win Pool A, they will advance to the national semifinals on Friday, May 1, at 4 p.m. against the winner of Pool D (either No. 4 Missouri Valley College, No. 5 Campbellsville (Ky.) University or No. 12 Indiana Tech University. The national championship match will be held on Saturday, May 2, at 5 p.m.
