Kirsch lifts IUP past Point Park
PITTSBURGH — Less than a month after combining for 36 runs in a high-scoring matchup, IUP and Point Park met again Tuesday at Dougherty Field in a much different contest, with IUP earning a 5-3 win. Point Park scored in the first inning, but IUP answered with runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings. Carter Kirsch delivered the go-ahead hit in the eighth inning, a two-run single up the middle that scored Alex VanSickle and Michael Kramer.
